How to hire a pro on YeboWork — Buyer's guide

Register, find a trusted local pro, and book with confidence.

Create your buyer account

  1. 1Tap Join (top right) and choose "I want to hire" (Buyer).
  2. 2Enter your details: first name, surname, South African ID number (13 digits, must be 18+), email and mobile number (+27).
  3. 3Add your address — start typing and pick it from the list; suburb, city and postal code fill in automatically. Add a unit/complex/building if relevant (optional). Your exact address stays private and is only shared with a pro after you accept them.
  4. 4Choose a password (minimum 8 characters, with a letter and a number). You log in with your mobile or email plus this password.
  5. 5Complete the quick security check and tap Create account.
  6. 6Check your email and click the confirmation link to activate your account, then sign in.

Pro tip: Add and verify your mobile number in your profile — it builds trust and lets pros reach you faster.

Find the right pro

  1. 1Use "Find a Pro" or browse "Categories" to see verified pros in your area.
  2. 2Filter by rating, seller type, service type and location; sort by Top rated.
  3. 3Open a profile to see services, pricing, reviews, verification badges (ID Verified, Background Checked, Registered Business) and service area.

Pro tip: The verification badges and recent reviews are your best signal of a reliable pro.

Book or request a quote (three ways)

  • Book a service: on a pro's profile tap "Book a Service", choose the service, pick an available date/time, confirm your address and send.
  • Request a quote: not sure of the price? Tap "Request a Quote", describe what you need, and the pro sends you a price.
  • Post a job (free): tap "Post a Job", describe the work and location, and multiple pros send you quotes to compare.

Pro tip: The clearer your description and photos, the more accurate the quotes.

Pay safely and get the job done

  1. 1When you accept a quote, choose how to pay: Cash, EFT, or Pay on YeboWork (secure card payment).
  2. 2On the day, share the arrival start code with your pro so you both confirm the job has started.
  3. 3When it's done, confirm completion. If you paid on YeboWork, payment releases to the pro and you get a tax invoice.
  4. 4Leave a review — it helps other buyers and rewards great pros.

Staying safe on YeboWork

Your address is hidden until you accept a pro; you both see each other's verification selfie once a job is accepted; and for on-platform jobs YeboWork never asks you to pay outside the platform.
